Beneath a Brooding Sky

I’ll admit it. Lovecraft’s “The Shadow Over Innsmouth” made it so I can never look at cupolas the same way again, especially when they squat upon crumbling old barns. I find myself thinking about what might be staring at me from between the slats…

While a gentle spring shower fell, this sagging structure sat behind ground shared by a construction yard and a post office. I got permission to go into their back yard and snag an HDR sequence with my Tamron zoom. The sky was just the right texture too.
