Burned Away - Digital Damage in Photos

With the craze of lomography going on and “imperfect” photos being hip art, I decided to go all out and add artificial damage, as if the photo print had been physically burned.

The effect was relatively straightforward. Before adding the lomography filter, special burn brushes were added on a new layer. After that, a simple erasure of the background layer in those areas below the largest burn marks completed the set.

Exposure Data: ISO 2000, f/10, 1/200
