The Dreamer’s Guide to Photography – Part 5: The House at the End of the Lane

For the final part of this series, I decided to combine effects. When I came across this house in Connecticut, I’d been searching hard for a sight like this. Winter had left its scars and the vegetation was struggling to survive the cold. Meanwhile, the old gothic house peered at me through the dead branches.

Six shots here comprised two HDR sequences, each focus stacked with the other. Both Topaz BW Effects and Adjust were used to add certain blanket looks, while some manual dodging and burning added highlights where appropriate.

Exposure Data:
ISO 200
