Broadside Memory: Simulating Another Century

It’s interesting how photos can trigger memories. A few years ago, on a road I’ll leave unnamed, I came across a run-down building complex that had probably been built in the early years of the 20th century. What’s more I’d heard stories about what sort of people lived there. It was a goose flesh moment.

Then much later I found this old garage, dilapidated and slouching by the roadside. A hundred memories and recollections of tales told made me raise my camera almost unconsciously. The PhotoFX “Oldtimer” filter completed the vintage look.

Exposure Data: ISO 200, f/11,1/80
