If you’ve followed this blog long enough, you’ll know I’m a huge fan of HDR and other digital post-production techniques. Sitting down to Photoshop a picture can be almost as much fun as snapping the shutter button. It’s a medium to free the mind and let others see inside your dreams.
But there’s quite a few people that can’t stand this sort of thing. The words “fake” and “cheating” are just two of the many objections that have appeared in magazines and blogs the world over. In fact the word “Photoshopped” has almost become an insult in some circles. And I suppose nothing will ever truly be settled, a million flame wars notwithstanding.
So what’s the message? Do what you love and don’t mind the haters. If you’re proud of it, publish it! You’ll be happier if you follow your heart instead of the crowd.
